pst…free printable at the end of this post. consider it my lil cyber Monday gift.

It’s December. WHAT?? How did this happen? Is it just me or does December seem to arrive at a faster rate every year?

Speaking of time flying, I’m confident the next 25 days will be a blur for most of us. Between shopping, parties, more shopping, a little baking and some Christmas movie watching, there will be few quiet, peaceful moments. In the frantic spinning and slighter higher stress, the yuckiest version of myself may appear. Especially tragic in a season when I want to be the most joyful and loving.

But there’s hope.

Isn’t this the core message of Christmas? Hope came and dwelt among us.

God came.

He not only came to earth, wearing flesh. He came to free us from what entangles us.  To heal our brokenness. To clean up the yucky stuff we shove deep down and try to hide.

My hope? That today’s podcast will begin to set a few ladies who listen free. If you feel a wall between all God has to offer and what you are receiving, then I pray that wall will be smashed to smithereens. So you may walk freely with the God who walked this earth.

Please welcome, Francie Winslow, author of the blog “Up In and Out” to the podcast today. Listen to  how I met Francie and the wonderful way she led me to walk in further freedom.

Francie reminds us that Christ came to heal the brokenhearted, which includes the most devout Christians. Even in the midst of serving others we can be a mess and in need of the freedom He offers.

She also gives tips on how to free our children from lies they believe and how to lead them to the truth found in God’s word.

Show Notes:

Here are the Scripture references Francie mentions

Isaiah 61:1 “He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.”

Psalm 10 The evil one preys on the innocent

Galatians 5:1 “For freedom Christ has set us free…”

1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear…”

Lastly I have a printable I’ve made of the 5 steps Francie mentions for healing your spiritual “root system”. Click here for a PDF version of the picture below.

My prayer is at some point during this busy holiday season you can schedule 45 minutes to spend time with God and work through these steps. Maybe even invite a close friend over for hot tea and talk through these points together, ending in prayer.

Be truly set free this Christmas.
