*Thank ya’ll for your awesome Christmas gift ideas…very, very helpful. Honestly. Loved the idea of giving an “experience”, so will probably be heading that direction (shhhh). AND Congratulations to Erin D., the winner of the adorable Baby Bow-tie. Thanks to everyone who entered!

You may be curious who my guest is based on the unusual title of this week’s podcast. In honor of the holidays, I thought it would be fun to share my people with y’all. So last week it was my husband, Bruce, and his stories of family overseas mission trips. This week I’m interviewing the “other” man in my life…my dad, John Price.

Even though his primary job was as a lawyer, he also ran for several political offices: Governor, State Senate, Congress, U.S. Senate. And he wrote several books. So, as a result, my dad is familiar with radio show interviews.

During this podcast we discuss how my dad grew up going to church but didn’t really know God personally until college. We also share how he intentionally taught me and my brother from God’s Word at the kitchen table…giving us an experience he didn’t have as a child.

The main topic, of course, is Donut Dates, weekly one-on-one time I spent with my dad. Find out what questions he asked each week. And learn how he continued the tradition with his grandchildren.

Next week with children out of school and time with your family, my hope is you (or your husband or a grandparent) will enjoy the blessing of a donut date with your child.
